Story
A brave young girl's battle with cancer, at just 5, Kate was diagnosed with stage four neuroblastoma. "She has had to endure chemotherapy, a tumour resection, a stem cell retrieval, megatherapy (high dose chemotherapy) stem cell rescue, and many rounds of radiation since her diagnosis. Devastatingly, this type of cancer has a high relapse rate despite all the different treatments." That's a lot for anyone to handle, let alone a small child and yet these kids are incredibly brave but rely strongly on the support of the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation to get better.
I'm taking part in The Color Run this year and decided to run for a cause, raising some much needed funds for the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation along the way.
My goal is to raise $2,000, which will go towards:
- Vital medical equipment and specialist services for PMH.
- Accommodating the families of sick children.
- Medical Research.
Please join me in supporting such a great cause and just remember every penny counts (even a lucky five cent coin)! As together, we can help to improve the quality of life of all children in WA.
